Felt this was a reasonable proposal after receiving input from my Scalar cofounder Jordan Clifford
Providing the ability to permissionlessly remove assets from the chain dramatically improves the trust assumptions that Optimism users must operate under.
we halt the fault (i'm so sorry)
bad joke jack
Major focus on failsafes and security backups in this major upgrades. Stage 1 here we come!

Woohoo fault proofs!!!
We don't currently feel confident in our ability to give an educated vote based on the discussion occurring.
Introducing the long-waited fault proofs is clearly one of the most important steps that Optimism should take. Considering the comments from Mofi, we vote FOR the proposal and rely on the coordination with the security council and OP Labs for the timing of the deployment.
Very excited to see this level up!
Excited about fault proofs! Supportive.
Exited about this update both this and the guardin need to be approved for the upgrade to work so I-m voting for in both.
Voting "For" based on the non-technical summary provided by the DAB. This upgrade would seem to move us to stage 1 of technical decentralization (intent 1) while implementing certain safeguards that keep users funds safe. https://gov.optimism.io/t/final-protocol-upgrade-7-fault-proofs/8161/2
A major update, glad to see it!
